Fall Day Makeup and Outfit.

Hello there!
Today it's a nice cool fall day in Oklahoma. It is 57 Degrees, cloudy and a little misty. I LOVE fall time, it's one of my favorite times of the year. I love getting up in the mornings and feeling the crisp fall air. Fall time calls for all kinds of things!
~Hot chocolate
~Boots
~Oversized hoodies
~Coffee
~Dark Lips
~Scarves and leggings
and let's not forget about fire pits and the smell of smoke coming from peoples' fireplaces in the neighborhood.
I'm going to make this a quick blog post. :)

Here is my face makeup for the day!:
~Tarte Away Oui Go palette from Ulta: I did a blog post on this earlier if you want to go look.
~Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation: This isn't my favorite foundation, but it's one I haven't used in a while and thought I'd give it another chance. The finish is a great natural look that mimics skin.
~Rimmel Stay Matte powder.
~NYX Lip Pencil in Mauve.
~MAC Lipstick in Twig: Similar colors are MAC Brave and MAC Faux.
~Milani Easy Brow in Natural Taupe
~MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle.

One of my favorite perfumes to wear in the fall is my Victoria's Secret Dream Angels Desire Perfume. This smell so good! I'm horrible with describing scents, so look it up.

These are my favorite boots to wear in the fall/winter. I got them at Charlotte Russe last year and they're knee high leather boots. They got dirty super fast which is a downside. But they've held up and I got them for $30. They don't make my feet hurt and they're comfortable to wear for 9 hours at a time. They pretty much go great with anything including leggings and jeans.

I love my hoodies! And this one is possibly one of my favorites ever. It's an oversized pullover hoody from Victoria's Secret. I got it one year at the semi annual sale. It's a size petite but feels like an XL. It's also really warm and comfortable. It says LOVE PINK in the front instead of the back.
Here are a few things I like to drink during Fall and Winter. Coffee and Hot Chocolate. I have this cute little penguin coffee mug I got from Walmart last year. My favorite coffee to drink is the Vanilla Biscotti coffee by Folgers. It's amazing if you mix the International Delights Coffee Creamer in Almond Joy and a little bit of Sugar, It's HEAVEN! And of course, my favorite Hot Chocolate is by Swiss Miss. 2 packets are the key to great hot chocolate! :)

Happy Fall! <3

Ear Piercings!

Hello again! I would like to talk today about my ear piercings.
I'm going to talk about pain, healing time, and aftercare.
Ear piercings are a great way to express yourself. There are so many different types of ear piercings, so many jewelry options and you can change up the gauge of the piercing if you want. Now keep in mind what I'm going to talk to you about is mostly experience. When I talk about pain, you need to understand that everyone has a different pain tolerance and everyone's ear is a different size. The cartilage in your ear could be thinner or thicker.

Aftercare
After care is pretty simple. 1-2 times a day you want to soak your piercing in a hot sea salt solution. You can make this buy adding 1/4 tsp of sea salt to 8 ounces of hot water. Make sure the water is as hot as you can handle. You definitely don't want to scald yourself. Do this for 5-10 minutes at a time. When you're showering you want to also clean it with antibacterial hand soap. I recommend the Gold Dial Hand Soap. Make sure you don't touch your piercing with dirty hands and that you only touch it when you're cleaning it. You don't want to risk infection and DON'T let ANYONE touch your piercing. Not even your boyfriend!

Earlobe
This was my first ear piercing, I got this done when I was a little girl, and had it redone twice. Pretty much every girl gets this done at a young age. It's not uncommon to see little girls in Claire's getting their ears done. Everytime I go to the mall, I see at least 2 in the window. From when I got pierced, I remember crying the first time because I guess it hurt. They eventually closed up which is why I had to get it redone.
I actually have my earlobes pierced twice on both sides now. I got the second set of holes done during 2012 at Claire's. And I didn't feel anything to be honest. So I'll rate it a 0/5 on the pain scale. Aftercare is pretty straightforward. They give you this aftercare cleaner and you're supposed to take a couple cotton balls and soak them with the solution and clean both sides of your lobe twice a day.
Tragus
This was my first cartilage piercing, and it's actually one of my favorite piercings. The pain was a 2/5.  I had it put on my left ear. I got this done on April 13, 2012. I was pretty nervous going into the shop to get it done. But the people who work where I got it done were super nice and calmed me down. They used a clamp on my ear and everyone I hear says the clamp is the worst part because of the pressure it puts on your ear. It wasn't bad for me. One thing I didn't experience was a popping nose. As a matter of fact, I didn't even hear it. This piercing acted up quite a few times throughout the year, I had a lot of swelling and at times I got that dreaded bubble you often see on most cartilage piercings. A secret to getting rid of them would be Tea Tree Oil. I used it twice a day after my soak and it went away after a month. It took 1 full year to heal. I recommend this piercing to anyone because it's cute and you have so many options for jewelry.
Helix
This was my second cartilage piercing. This one was a 3/5. I went in a couple months later after I got my tragus done and got this one added to my ear. I had it put on my right ear. It was an easy piercing to heal. Not a comfortable one to sleep on though. The only complaint I have is my hair caught on it sometimes and at one point the pain was so bad that I took the jewelry out to clean it and found that something had been wrapped around the bar tightly. All that rubbing against the hole was irritating and annoying. After that it went back to normal and I didn't have any problems after that. I would say it took about 7-8 months to completely heal. I did my soaks normally and if I didn't, I made sure I sprayed it down with my H2Ocean spray.
Inner Conch
Oh my goodness. This is such a cool piercing to have and it was one of the EASIEST ones to heal. Do NOT get a hoop when you get this piercing done, get a barbell. When I had it changed out to a hoop it put way too much pressure on my ear and it was so sore. I had it pierced on my left ear. I would say that the pain was a 2.5. It took them a few seconds to pierce my ear. The healing time took about 8 months and to this day I don't have any problems with it.
Awhile back I had an incident with an ex boyfriend traumatizing my piercing. We were hanging out one night and I bought him one of those bubble gum tape things (where you have to pull on the tape and rip it out) I remember sitting on the floor in my living room talking to my mom and all of a sudden the thing came flying at my head and hits the back of my barbell. Let's say that made me scream out loud and the pain was so bad that it made me cry. My ear swelled up to where you couldn't even see the back of the bar because the swelling was so bad. The next day I went into work and was in the break room brushing my hair back, and I accidentally knocked it with my brush. It started bleeding again, and the pain was so bad that it made me cry for 10 minutes. A few days later after 10 minutes of hot soaks twice a day, the swelling went down and it went back to normal.
Rook
I am not going to lie, this was a very painful piercing. I have thicker cartilage on my ear so that would be one of the reasons why. I'm going to rate it a 4/5. I got it done on my right ear last September and it's still sore from time to time. I do believe it's mostly healed. There's no blood or discharge which is a good sign. When I got it pierced, they didn't use a clamp. The needle they used was a large curved needle. They tell you the same thing every time "Now take a deep breath" and when you exhale you think it's over. No, no for me there was still one more layer to pierce. Let me tell you, that was excruciating. I don't regret it but I probably wouldn't ever get it done again. If you want to get this piercing, go for it. It's not a piercing you see everyone with, so it kind of makes it unique.
Daith
Ah, this one I actually got done last night! I had been contemplating this one for awhile. I got this put on my left ear.
So let's talk about pain. I'm not going to lie to you, this was the most painful piercing I have ever gotten. The pain would be a 5/5. It's almost like having your rook pierced, they use the same kind of needle but it takes longer for them to pierce it. Unfortunately it's not something that can be done really fast. The piercer said I didn't even bleed, but when I soaked it last night it started to just a little. And that's completely normal.
After they pierced it it was like every other cartilage piercing, it hurt for awhile.
That concludes my ear piercings. I'm going to put up some pictures, some pictures are older.

Piercings above include: Helix and Rook

Tragus piercing (Captive Bead Ring) Inner Conch and 2 lobe piercings.

New Tarte Holiday 2014 palette.

Hi guys! Yesterday I picked up this lovely new set at Ulta. It's called the Tarte Away Oui Go Portable Palette & Collectors Set. You get 16 full sized Amazonian Clay Eye shadows, 4 Full Sized Amazonian Clay Blushes, 3 deluxe sized Maracuja Lip Glosses and a Deluxe sized Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara and an adorable compact.
This palette is probably my favorite out of all the things Tarte has put out this holiday season. One of the reasons I wanted to buy this one was because it's a lot like last year's which I have and I actually like the idea of both sets.
First off, I cannot say enough how much I love Tarte blushes. They're amazing quality, last all day and I don't think I've had any problems with fading.
The shadows are so pigmented, they blend like a dream and last a long time on my eyes. I use a shadow primer so that helps. I cannot say what they're like without a primer because I believe that a primer is a necessity when it comes to eye shadow. 2 shadow primers I recommend are: Too Faced Shadow Insurance and Urban Decay Primer Potion in the color Sin. The Too Faced one really makes your shadow more vibrant and the Urban Decay Potion in Sin is a great one to use for neutral colored eye shadows. On the plus side, it's a beautiful champagne color. (Amazing)
I haven't tried the glosses to be honest because I haven't fell on that lip gloss bandwagon. I have heard in fact that the glosses are extremely sticky. So if you're going to wear them, pull your hair back and make sure it's not a windy day outside. :) I did smell them and they have that minty smell to them which I love so much.
The mascara did surprise me. It's a little dry and it gave me some volume and not a lot of length. I do have long lashes to begin with, so all I want is volume. I used 2 coats and it did a decent job. I will have to pick up a full size sooner or later.
So that's it. I hope you consider picking this up at your local Ulta because it is a great set to have and I think anyone would be happy with it. :)

Face of the Day

Let's talk: Face of the Day. Here are the beauty products I use on my face. I tend to pretty much use the same products but I'll swap out lipsticks, blushes and hightlights.

 Let's talk about the products.

Face

Primer: L'oreal Studio Secrets Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer
First I prime my face using the L'oreal Dream Lumi primer. This stuff is oh so good. As you can see, I use mostly drugstore products and this is probably the best drugstore primer out there! I've tried quite a few of them. None of them come close to this stuff. When you put it on, it makes your face look all metallic like and glowy. It's so freaking pretty guys! The lasting power is very good. I get up at 5:30am every morning before work and do my makeup. I get home around 4:30 and by the time I'm getting ready for bed (9-10:00pm) my makeup still looks good! It doesn't clog my pores and make me break out so that's a plus!

Foundation: Cover Girl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation (Classic Ivory)
Let me say something about foundation, I'm VERY picky! I have sensitive skin, a lot to cover and I like my foundation to be mostly full coverage! I want it to stay put ALL day. I've had bad experiences with foundations in the past and decided to move towards the expensive range. I've tried MAC, Kat Von D, Nars, Make Up Forever, etc. I love love my studio fix fluid, but right now I can't afford it. :( So for a drugstore foundation, this is serious business. It's a great foundation! It doesn't make me break out, it stays on my face all day, barely moves, and looks good by mid day! 2-2 1/2 pumps does the job. :D I rarely ever touch up on my makeup and with this stuff, I don't need to! I get a tiny bit shiny in my T Zone, but that's normal. The only thing I don't "like" about this foundation, is I wish it had a few more light shades. I'm warm toned and I feel like the shade I'm using is a tad bit too dark, but not too much. I have yet had someone come up to me and say "Ew you look like you have a mask on!" I feel like Ivory light enough for me but it's cool toned so it's too pink. I go back between them both and don't mind. So if you're looking for a foundation and are like me, then this would be for you. :)

Powder: Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder.
There's not much to talk about when it comes to this product. I'm assuming you know about it. If you watch a lot of beauty gurus on YouTube, then you've probably seen quite a few of them talk about this powder. It's amazing. It's finely milled, and soft. It doesn't cake up or look like you have a chalky face. That's what I struggle to find with drugstore powders. They're either too cakey or they make you look like a powder face. I find it doesn't keep me matte all day like I would like it to, but that's okay, I can touch up with this powder and it will make me look fresh all over again. Consider picking it up at your local Walmart or Target. And get the transparent shade.

Blush: Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso (05)
Oh man you guys. I cannot stress enough how hard it is to find a decently pigmented blush for a good price! Luminoso is a beautiful peachy toned blush. It's more on the natural side, but you don't want to go heavy with it or it will make you look orange. Guys these baked blushes are everything you could want in a blush! They're pigmented, long lasting and they give you a nice glow! You don't need much, so a little goes a long way. I have 3. Luminoso, Rose D'oro, and Dolce Pink. You can pick them up at your local CVS.

Highlight: MAC Magnetic Nude Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Fairly Precious
I'm sad to say that this was limited edition. *tear*
This is a gorgeous highlighter! It's a peachy highlight shade. It gives you the most beautiful glow! It's strongly pigmented so a light hand is needed. It has great lasting power too! I didn't really notice fading, and I work 8 hour shifts. So it stays on my face all day. I wear this one the most between a few other of my highlighters, so I guess you can say it's my favorite one. I hope one day MAC brings this collection back because I didn't get a chance to buy some of the other products in the collection.

Eyes

Urban Decay Naked Palette
This palette is every thing! I have somewhere between 13-15 eyeshadow palettes (Reviews coming soon to my blog) and this is hands down my most used palette! I'm sure you've heard over a million times how awesome this palette is and let me tell you, that is so true.
I use Sidecar on my lid, Buck and Darkhorse in my crease and I smoke Darkhorse in my outer v area. (I'm horrible with Outer V guys, help???) Then I use Smog on my lower lash line and Virgin for my Highlight. I love this combination! Sometimes I'll use liquid eyeliner and my eyes will look so huge! I have blue eyes and these colors enhance them. I think I like this palette because it's a warm toned eyeshadow palette. I have all 3 naked palettes and naked basics (Don't like that one) I think my least favorite one out of the 3 would be 2. I love 3 because it's rosey neutrals. These shadows are so buttery soft. They have the best color payoff and they last a long time with a primer. (I use the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin or I use the Too Faced Shadow Insurance) They also blend like a dream and you can't go wrong with the endless shadow looks you can do! They're quite pricey. When I bought mine last year, it was $50 and now I find that they're what, $54? But, let me tell you, you get what you pay for and that's amazing quality! They'll last a really long time because you don't need a lot of product on your brush to get the job done!

Eyeliner: Rimmel London Soft Kohl Eyeliner in Sable Brown.
This eyeliner is okay. I'm not gonna lie, it's a basic brown eyeliner. It's nothing incredible, it's nothing horrible, it's just average. I haven't really gotten around to look for a better brown eyeliner pencil. I find that it slides around. Sometimes it gets in the corner of my eye and wears off a little. It stays on most of the day so that's a plus! Please shoot me recommendations for a better brown eyeliner.

Mascara: L'oreal Telescopic Mascara
I'm not gonna lie, I get quite bored with mascaras. I've always been on the lookout for my holy grail mascara and I think I might have found it. I'm on my second tube of this and fixing to buy a 3rd. This stuff doesn't give you enough volume but it does give awesome length! It's easy to wash off and it doesn't irritate my eyes. I use the shade brown and I feel like it's a little more natural. I don't find that it flakes or smudges. Now since I already have long eyelashes to begin with, it kind of gets up there where my brow bone is when I first apply it. But I wait for it to dry then swipe with a qtip and I'm good to go! If you want a good lengthening mascara, go for this!

Milani Easy Brow Automactic Pencil.
Awesome awesome awesome brow pencil! I use the shade Taupe and it gives me the most natural looking brows without being too overboard. I'm born with thicker brows and this just fills them in enough to look natural. It's pretty affordable, I picked mine up at CVS for $4 or something like that. They have 2 shades, Dark Brown and Natural Taupe. From what I've read online, Dark Brown has a red tint to it, if you're okay with that then would work for you, but if you're like me who doesn't like red in my products, then Natural taupe would be the way to go.

Nyx lip liner in Mauve
Oh man, this is probably my favorite lip liner at the moment! If you read my last blog post, then you would know.
Kylie Jenner has been rocking this beautiful lip color that everyone has been obsessed with lately. I read online that mauve is a dupe for MAC Whirl, which is supposedly the lip liner she pairs with MAC Brave to create her combination. (I also read that she uses Velvet teddy and Faux with that lip liner as well.)  I swatched Whirl at the counter and swatched mauve next to it and it did look like an exact dupe. NYX lip liners are awesome. They're affordable, pigmented and long lasting.

MAC Brave Lipstick
I love this lip color so much. MAC lipsticks are so amazing and addicting! (My best friend got me hooked!) This color looks like a nude with a lot of deep pink in it. (I'm horrible at describing colors, please excuse me :)) I find that this shade lasts quite a long time on my lips.(Between 5-6 hours) I can eat and drink something and the color will still be on my lips. After a while I do find that I need to touch up. If it had the staying power of a stain it would be so much more perfect. I recommend that everyone who loves MAC have this in their collection. It's a must!

And there you go! I hope I helped if you're looking for new products to try! I love to review products and that's what this blog is pretty much about. I'll give you my honest opinion and let you know if it's a hit or miss as well! Soon I hope to start doing first impressions, so keep an eye out for that. Be sure to check out my instagram and pinterest. I'll soon create a public twitter page (My personal one is private, sorry)

Let's talk: Orange Lips

So lately I've been loving Orange Lipstick!
I know it's a really bright color to sport, but I don't care. I'm not into red lipstick....yet. Ha. I feel like Orange is where it's at right now.
I own 3 orange lipsticks and a liner. You don't want to see my wish list, it's ridiculous!
Electric Orange.
Let's talk about this lipstick, I had trouble finding one that wasn't TAINTED. The first Walmart I went to there were 2 left! And of course, in my mind I'm like "YES!" and the minute I open the tube to check the stick, it left me with horror. The stick looked like someone had thrown it on the ground! No no, more like it looked like some kid with a lot of curiosity got ahold of it. It was gross! And I opened the 2nd one and same thing. The second Walmart I go to, none. I'm thinking "Why is it so hard to track this shade down?!" I don't think it's popular? (Correct me if I'm wrong.) I give up and decide to go to target and they have 3. One looked like a tiny nail mark made it's way onto the stick, one was broken and the last one was PERFECT. Happy day! This shade is glorious. It's a glossy bright neon orange. 2 coats will do the trick! It's beautifully pigmented. If you want a sheer coverage, go with one coat, if you want the full bang go with 2 coats. You won't regret buying this lipstick :)
Morange. (Amplified)
This color just stood out to me when I searched it on google images. I really recommend this to people looking for a BRIGHT in yo face orange. As a matter of fact, if you're looking for quality and lasting power, this one is for you. One day I was hanging out with a couple of my best friends and I wore this out. I ate and drank, then ate some more and more and the color was still on my lips! YES. I know $16 for a lipstick is pretty pricey, but you just can't compare to MAC. They have amazing products. And I think every penny invested in a MAC product is well spent. Back to the lipstick (haha) So, we go walking around Target and I know people were looking at me, but I didn't care. I actually felt pretty good because I've always been the shy type gal and stuck to my neutral zone. I think every one needs at least one orange lipstick in their collection. :)
CB 96 (Frost)
This was my first orange type lipstick. :) I have so much love for this color you guys! It's probably the kind of orange lipstick you would want to start out with if you're working your way up to the bold range. It's not too bright but not too dull. If you're into the whole metallic look, then this would be your kind of lipstick. It's a frost finish, if you're familiar with that when it comes to MAC lipsticks. I've gotten so many compliments on it. It actually boosts my confidence. It could be worn alone or with a lip liner. And before I found an orange lip liner, I wore it by its self. And it is gorgeous. I have a review of it on makeupalley if you're curious. Just look for clarinetkel.
NYX Pumpkin
I actually just bought this liner. Last week I went online looking for an orange lip liner to pair with my orange lipsticks (duh) more like my MAC ones. I saw the color "Orange" online and read really good reviews about it. That weekend that I got paid, I went to my local Ulta and of course, they didn't have it :( So I traveled down to the next one and still no luck. That's when I realized that they didn't even sell it. And I don't want to order online. I'm just not a big online shopper. Unless I really REALLY want something. So I saw Pumpkin. I grabbed my phone, looked up the reviews and found out this one works way better with orange lipsticks than Orange does. And boy am I glad I bought it! I love NYX lip liners, I own several. They have good pigmentation and staying power. They're great quality for only $3.50!
I also have my eye on an Orange MAC pro longwear pencil ;)

Onto pictures! Please excuse the quality. My phone has a decent camera, but not as good as my galaxy phone did :( (I plan on buying a better camera when I have the money.)
